Description:
Description TOOTHPASTE CAP Technical Field [1] The present invention relates to a toothpaste cap, and more particularly to a toothpaste cap having a large number of effects that when the toothpaste cap is separated and combined from a toothpaste tube in order to use toothpaste, the toothpaste cap may be separated and combined with only one hand, thereby maximizing convenience of use, thereby clearing away abuses of loosing or con- taminating the toothpaste cap and so on.

Background Art [2] In general, toothpaste used when brushing one's teeth is stored in a tube-type toothpaste container and covered with a toothpaste cap.

[3] When toothpaste in such a toothpaste tube needs squeezing to come out, a toothpaste cap is separated from the toothpaste tube, and then a proper quantity of the toothpaste is squeezed on the top of a toothbrush applying pressure to an external surface portion of the toothpaste tube. After that, the toothpaste cap is combined with the toothpaste tube again.

[4] In order to squeeze such toothpaste, since the work with one hand is impossible, both hands should be used after all. In this case, since one hand should hold the toothbrush on which the squeezed toothpaste is applied, there is inconvenience that the separated toothpaste cap should inevitably be left at a close place for a while and then be combined with the toothpaste tube again after squeezing the toothpaste.

[5] Further, in case of hurrying, there happen many cases that a toothpaste cap is lost by leaving it alone anywhere and that it is contaminated. Since infants are likely to drop a toothpaste cap if they separate the toothpaste cap in a condition of holding a toothbrush in one hand and holding a toothpaste tube in the other hand, there frequently happen cases that the toothpaste cap is lost and contaminated.

Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem [6] To solve the above and/or other problems occurring when a toothpaste cap is separated and combined to squeeze toothpaste from a toothpaste tube, the present invention provides a toothpaste cap wherein after the toothpaste cap is provided on mirrors and tiles of a bathroom to be available for an angular motion, a user can easily separate the toothpaste cap holding the toothpaste tube in one hand, thereby fun- damentally prevent the toothpaste cap from being lost and contaminated and thereby maximizing convenience of use.

Technical Solution [7] According to an aspect of the present invention, the present invention provides a toothpaste cap comprising a cap portion combined with a discharge portion of a toothpaste tube; a sucking means attached on the wall; and a hinge lever of which a part is provided to be available for an angular motion through a shaft hole formed on the sucking means and both end portions are combined through shaft holes of the cap portion.

Advantageous Effects [8] As described above, the toothpaste cap of the present invention is used for attaching on mirrors and tiles of a bathroom by using a sucking means. Also the present invention has a great number of effects that when toothpaste needs discharging, the toothpaste cap may be opened by holding and separating only toothpaste tube, and if the discharge portion of the toothpaste tube is put in the toothpaste cap after the toothpaste is discharged, the toothpaste tube may be diverted into a storage condition by an angular motion of the hinge lever, thereby maximizing convenience of use and thereby having no concern of loosing and contaminating the toothpaste cap when the toothpaste needs discharging.

Description of Drawings [9] FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing a preferred embodiment of the present invention; [10] FIG. 2 is a lateral cross-sectional view showing a condition that the toothpaste tube is combined with the toothpaste cap of the present invention; [11] FIG. 3 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view showing a condition that the toothpaste tube is combined with the toothpaste cap of the present invention; [12] FIG. 4 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view showing a condition of the time that the toothpaste tube is separated from the toothpaste cap of the present invention; [13] FIG. 5 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view showing a condition of the time that the toothpaste tube is combined with the toothpaste cap of the present invention; [14] FIG. 6 is a lateral cross-sectional view showing another embodiment in which a part of the toothpaste cap of the present invention is different; and [15] FIG. 7 is a lateral cross-sectional view showing further another embodiment in which a part of the toothpaste cap of the present invention is different.

Best Mode [16] FIG. 1 is a exploded perspective view showing a toothpaste cap 10 provided by the present invention; FIG. 2 is a lateral cross-sectional view showing a condition that the discharge portion 9a of a toothpaste tube 9 is combined with the toothpaste cap 10; FIG. 3 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view showing a condition that the discharge portion 9a of a toothpaste tube 9 is combined with the toothpaste cap 10; and FIG. 4 is a longitudinal cross-sectional view showing a condition of the time that the toothpaste tube 9 is separated from the toothpaste cap 10 of the present invention. Referring to these drawings, the present invention will be described in detail hereinbelow.

[17] In other words, the toothpaste cap 10 of the present invention comprises a cap portion 1 combined with a discharge portion 9a of a toothpaste tube 9; a sucking me ans 2 similar to a suction plate; and a hinge lever 4 of which a part is provided to be available for an angular motion through a shaft hole 3 formed on the sucking means 2 and both end portions are combined through shaft holes 5 of the cap portion 1.

[18] The shaft holes 5 on the cap portion 1, through which the end portions of the hinge lever 4 are combined, are formed in locations outside a symmetry plane M passing through the center line of the cap portion 1. In other words, if the shaft holes 5 of the toothpaste cap are formed exactly on the symmetry plane M, the combining portion of the cap portion 1, in which the discharge portion 9a is combined, faces to the lower direction in case of no external force applied. On the other hand, if they are formed in locations outside the symmetry plane M, the cap portion 1 tends to return toward one direction. Accordingly, if the shaft holes 5 of the toothpaste cap are formed on the upper direction of the symmetry plane M as shown in FIG. 1, the combining portion of the cap portion 1 returns toward front direction, that is, the opposite direction of the wall on which the sucking means 2 is attached. In this regards, a user may fit the discharge portion 9a in a condition of confronting the combining portion of the cap portion 1, thereby bringing much convenience.

[19] Meanwhile, FIG. 6 shows an embodiment in which a part of the present invention is different. This illustrates that using a hinge lever 4 in the form of a straight line, a sucking means 2 is combined through a shaft hole 5 on a connecting hinge portion 6 formed on the upper portion of the cap portion 1.

[20] Herein, it is preferred that the body 2a of the sucking means 2 has a characteristic of flexibility.

[21] Further, FIG. 7 shows another embodiment in which a part of the present invention is different. This illustrates that both end portions of a hinge lever 4 are combined through shaft holes 5 on a connecting ring 7 fixed to the outer circumference portion of the cap portion 1, and the connecting ring 7 is fixed to the cap portion 1 by a fixing piece 8, thereby easily using the existing toothpaste cap.

[22] In cases of FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, the shaft holes 5 of the toothpaste cap are formed in locations outside a symmetry plane by the same principle described in FIG. 4.

[23] In the toothpaste cap 10 of the present invention configured as described above, the cap portion 1 may be separated from a toothpaste tube 9 with only one hand when brushing one's teeth.

[24] In the present invention, if a user lifts up to about 90 ° the toothpaste tube 9 combined with the cap portion 1 attached on mirrors or tiles of a bathroom by a sucking means 2 while holding a toothbrush in one hand and if a user separates the toothpaste tube 9 from the cap portion 1 while applying a little strength, the discharge portion 9a of the toothpaste tube 9 is separated from the cap portion 1. Since in the cap portion 1 separated from the toothpaste tube 9, the center of gravity supported by the hinge lever 4 is disposed to one side as described above, as shown in FIG. 5, the combining portion faces to the opposite direction of mirrors or tiles on which the sucking means 2 is attached. In this case, the upper end surface of the cap portion 1 is connected to the mirrors or tiles so that the combining portion of the toothpaste tube 9 in the cap portion 1 continuously maintains a horizontal condition (a condition of facing to the direction of the user).

[25] Further, if the user pushes in the horizontal direction the discharge portion 9a of the toothpaste tube 9 into the cap portion 1 maintaining the horizontal condition after discharging toothpaste through the discharge portion 9a by applying pressure to the outer portion of the toothpaste tube 9, the toothpaste tube 9 is simply combined with the cap portion 1 as a coercive fit type. Then, if the user lets the holding toothpaste tube 9 go, the cap portion 1 returns to the original place in the vertical direction by an angular motion of the hinge lever 4 owing to the self weight of the toothpaste tube 9, thereby being diverted into a storage condition.

[26] While this invention has been particularly shown and described with reference to preferred embodiments thereof, it will be understood by those skilled in the art that various changes in form and details may be made therein without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.

Industrial Applicability [27] As described above, the present invention can be used valuably in the field of man- ufacturing toothpaste caps.
