A top of a sun umbrella, comprising a top body (A) and a power supply system provided on the top body (A). The top body (A) comprises a top cap (1), a top seat (2), and a top connector (3). The top cap (1) is provided at the top seat (2) and is capable of being opened or closed by rotation; the top connector (3) is fixed below the top seat (2); the lower end of the top connector (3) is connected to a top notch (4); the power supply system comprises a solar panel (6) and a battery (7); the battery (7) is mounted in the top seat (2); the solar panel (6) is provided at the upper end of the top cap (1) and is electrically connected to the battery (7); a DC socket (8) is provided in the top connector (3); a circuit board (5) is provided in the top notch (4); the circuit board (5) is provided with a DC plug (51) connected to the DC socket (8); the power supply system is connected to an illuminating system by means of combination of the DC socket (8) and the DC plug (51). The top is simple and reasonable in structure and easy to assemble; the power supply system can easily be connected to the illuminating system to supply electric energy needed by the illuminating system; the power supply system can charge the battery (7) by using the solar energy, recycling use is implemented, and replacement of the battery (7) is easy.
