Abstract:
A toroidal continuously variable transmission which is provided with a plurality of transmission units each having a roller sandwiched between the opposed faces of input disc and output disc, and in which each input disc is connected to an input shaft and each output disc is connected to an output shaft. The input discs or the output discs are so held as to rotate relatively to each other, and the input discs are so connected through respective chains to the input shaft as to transmit a torque.
