Abstract:
To create a structure for a toroidal continuously variable transmission in which it is possible to suppress fretting wear at a spline engagement portion and to improve the efficiency of assembly work without increasing the size of an outer disk. A female spline section 46, and an outer mating surface section 47 are provided at a center hole 40 of an outer disk 2d. The outer mating surface section 47 is provided with: a large diameter outer mating surface section 52 provided at a section at one end in the axial direction; and a small diameter outer mating surface section 53 which is provided to a section at the other end in the axial direction and has an inner diameter dimension that is smaller than the large diameter outer mating surface section 52. The female spline section 46 is spline engaged with a male spline section 38 provided at a rotary shaft 1b, and the large diameter outer mating surface section 52 and the small diameter outer mating surface section 53 are respectively mated with a large diameter inner mating surface section 49 of one end side portion in the axial direction of an inner mating surface section 37 of the rotary shaft 1b, and a small diameter inner mating surface section 50 of the other end side portion in the axial direction.
