Title:
TOROIDAL CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/110446
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In order to implement a toroidal continuously variable transmission structure wherein a locking ring that is locked in a locking groove formed in a rotary shaft and constituting a ball spline can be prevented from falling out of the locking groove, in a structure supporting an outside disk via the ball spline at a portion closer to one axial end of a rotary shaft, a locking groove 8a is provided at a position where the axial distance (α) from a side surface on one axial end of an inner-diameter-side portion 32 of an outside disk 2c to a side surface on one axial end of the locking groove 8a is greater than the maximum displacement amount (β) of the outside disk 2c toward the other axial end with respect to a rotary shaft 1a on the basis of the pressing force exerted by a pressing device 17a.
