Abstract:
The invention relates to turbomachines and is intended to be used for small turbodrives. The disclosed toroidal turbo comprises a casing, and a rotor attached, leaving a gap, to said casing; these two elements together form a toroidal working channel. The invention further comprises drive blades and a separator disposed in the channel on the rotor and the casing respectively, as well as feed and evacuation pipes joined to the channel at different sides away from the separator. The toroidal working channel is multiplexed on the planes of the rotor and casing, and its median section resembles two semi-oval elements. The feed pipe is connected to the channel by an orifice, the section of which is biased with respect to the rotation of the rotor, which passes through small semiaxes of the semi-oval elements in the channel.
