Abstract:
A torque-based variable diameter belt pulley, comprising an input shaft (8), a drive ring (10), a cylinder shaft (12), spiral rails (15, 35), rail supporting plates (16, 34), a rotating wheel (19), a guide block (21), an inner shaft (22), and a volute spiral spring (28). The input shaft (8), a drive ring support (9), the drive ring (10), a drive circular plate (11), a round rod sliding rail plate (13) at one side, the cylinder shaft (12), and a round rod sliding rail plate (13) at the other side constitute an overall rotating body capable of rotating together under the driving of the input shaft (8). In addition, the cylinder shaft (12) drives the first rail supporting plate (16) by means of the torque of the volute spiral spring (28); the first rail supporting plate (16) drives the first spiral rail (15) to rotate and drives the second rail supporting plate (34) and the second spiral rail (35) at the other side to rotate by means of a cylinder wall (17), a cylinder wall end plate (29) and the inner shaft (22), thereby causing a change in a radial distance between the corresponding driving round rod (6) and the cylinder shaft (12). If the variable diameter belt pulley is used together with a fixed diameter pulley as an automobile gearbox, an automobile can automatically obtain larger torque and acceleration when travelling on an uphill road or speeding up to overtake. The torque-based variable diameter belt pulley has good usage effect.
