Abstract:
Disclosed is a torque converter that allows for the simplification of a vehicle structure and the reduction of a number of parts, with the consequent achievement of cost cutting, weight reduction, ease of design, and low rigidity. The vehicle torque converter of the present invention comprises a front cover, an impeller, a turbine, a reactor, a lockup clutch, and a torsional damper, wherein the torsional damper comprises a front damper plate coupled to the lockup clutch, a rear damper plate integrated into and facing the front damper plate, and a spring assembly which is radially disposed between the front damper plate and a spline hub for transmitting a driving force to the transmission and exerts a compressive elastic force on a rotation shaft in an oblique direction.
