Abstract:
A torque limiter relates to the field of motorcycle engine and consists of a sleeve (1),
a stopper ring (2), a starting carrier gear (3), a friction steel plate (4), a friction
plate (5), a spacer pad (6), a belleville spring (7) and an adjusting washer (8).
The starting carrier gear (3), the friction plate (5) and the spacer pad (6) are
splined with the sleeve (1) respectively. The belleville spring (7) is mounted
between the spacer pad (6) and the stopper ring (2). The adjusting washer (8) is
mounted between the belleville spring (7) and the stopper ring (2). The torque
limiter, which is simple in structure, can cut off power transmission bidirectionally
to protect the starting motor and engine when the starting motor is overloaded
or the engine rotates backward.
