Abstract:
The present invention relates to a torque mode switch control system for maintaining a rated output of a wind turbine and, more specifically, to a torque mode switch control system and method for a wind turbine, the system comprising: a rotation speed measuring unit for measuring the rotation speed of a generator in real time; a pitch controller for calculating the commanded pitch angle of a blade in real time; a pitch angle limiting device unit for determining the actual pitch angle of the blade by limiting the commanded pitch angle; a torque mode switch for selecting a mode value on the basis of the rotation speed measured by the rotation speed measuring unit and the pitch angle determined by the pitch controller and the pitch angle limiting device unit; and a torque controller for controlling the torque of the generator according to the mode value selected by the torque mode switch, thereby enabling a torque chattering problem, which is caused by the torque mode switch when a wind speed suddenly lowers from a level greater than or equal to a rated wind speed to a level less than or equal to the rated wind speed in the controlling of the torque of the wind turbine, to be prevented, and enabling the torque controller to be stably operated.
