Abstract:
[Problem] To propose a torque sensor and a force-controllable actuator which are compact in size and enable accurate detection of torque. [Solution] This torque sensor is provided with: a first rotary body that is capable of axial rotation about an input shaft; a second rotary body that is capable of axial rotation about an output shaft; a strain-generating section that is disposed across the first rotary body and the second rotary body, has a first surface facing one side in a first direction parallel to the input shaft and a second surface facing the other side in the first direction, and transmits a rotary torque while generating a strain between the first rotary body and the second rotary body; and a plurality of strain detection sections that are respectively disposed on the first and second surfaces, and detect a strain in the strain-generating section.
