Abstract:

[Problem] To provide a torsion beam suspension with which sudden changes in rigidity at a connection point between a trailing arm and a torsion beam can be prevented. [Solution] This torsion beam suspension (100), which has an upper member (10) and lower members (20), has left and right trailing arms (50) that are provided with a trailing arm structural member (11) and a pair of lower members and extend in the fore-aft direction of a vehicle body so as to be capable of oscillating vertically, and a torsion beam (16) that is disposed in the upper member (10) between the left and right trailing arm structural members. The lower members have an upper connection portion (21) and a beam joining portion (22) that is inclined from the upper connection portion (21) toward the bottom of the torsion beam, said bottom having a U-shaped cross section, and is joined to the torsion beam.
