Abstract:
Disclosed is a torsion beam type suspension wherein intermediate sections (21c, 22c) of left and right trailing arms (21, 22) are connected together by a torsion beam (23). The torsion beam (23) is provided with front and rear beam wall sections (43, 44). Furthermore, the front and rear beam wall sections (43, 44) are formed in such a way that the stiffness of the rear beam wall section (44) is lower than that of the front beam wall section (43). That portion of the torsion beam (23) which is in the vicinity of an intermediate section in the vehicle width direction has a bent section (41) which is formed in such a way that the rear beam wall section (44) is bent rearward.
