Abstract:
To improve the durability of a torsional damper. A rubber member 13 mounted between a damper hub 11 and an inertia ring 12 of a torsional damper 10 comprises a rubber composition of which EPDM is the main component, the rubber member 13 having a loss factor (tanδpi) of 0.27 or more at a surface temperature of 60±5°C. The surface maximum attainment temperature (Tmax) of the rubber member 13 during continuous excitation at the resonance point of the torsional damper 10 satisfies the formula Tmax = α × ln(tanδpi) + β ≤ 100 (in the formula, α represents a coefficient within the range of -46.9 to -60.4, and β represents a coefficient within the range of +9.4 to +27.7).
