Abstract:
In this totally enclosed fan-cooled motor, which is very quiet, a stator and a rotor are accommodated inside a totally enclosed frame, outer vanes, which are fixed to a rotating shaft of the rotor, cause outside air to be taken into the totally enclosed frame on an outside-air side of a main plate of the outer vanes, and air discharged from the outer vanes is caused to flow via an arc-shaped first duct formed in an axial direction end portion of the totally enclosed frame through a plurality of second ducts formed in an outer circumferential portion of the totally enclosed frame, and to be discharged to the outside, wherein the totally enclosed fan-cooled motor is provided with a guide for taking air flowing in the circumferential direction into the first duct such that air discharged from the outer vanes and flowing in the circumferential direction flows into the arc-shaped first duct while being dispersed in the circumferential direction.
