Abstract:
A touch input apparatus, according to an embodiment of the present invention, is capable of detecting the pressure of touch on a touch surface, and comprises: a display module including a display panel; a substrate which is arranged below the display module and is a reference potential layer; and at least one pressure electrode formed on the display panel, wherein the display panel comprises electrodes used to drive the display panel, wherein a driving signal (Tx) applied to the pressure electrode is simultaneously applied to at least one of the electrodes used to drive the display panel, wherein the capacitance detected from the pressure electrode changes according to the change in distance between the pressure electrode and the substrate due to pressure applied on the touch surface, and wherein the pressure applied to the touch surface is calculated on the basis of a detected capacitance that is calculated from the capacitance detected from the pressure electrode.
