Abstract:

Erroneous touch operations are prevented by displaying an enlarged image key to be operated in response to an approaching finger which performs input operations. Characters and such are inputted in a multi-functional mobile phone (10) by operating a touch panel (12). When the index finger (25) of a user comes within a predetermined distance of an image key (24), the entire image keyboard (21) is enlarged with the image key (24) at the center such that the size of the image key (24) becomes bigger than the size of the contact surface of the index finger (25). The touch operation is performed on the displayed image keyboard (21) that was enlarged.
