Abstract:
Disclosed is a touch panel device that is provided with: an electrode pad group, which is formed of a plurality of electrode pads (210) that are independently disposed, and which has electrode pads (210) belonging to a first group and electrode pads (210) belonging to a second group; a first layer on which the electrode pads (210) belonging to the first group are disposed; and a second layer on which the electrode pads (210) belonging to the second group are disposed; and a detection circuit (310) that detects touch operations corresponding to a capacitance generated between a finger of a touch operator and the electrode pads (210). The electrode pads (210) of the first group and the electrode pads (210) of the second group are disposed at positions not overlapping each other when viewed from the touch operator, and the first layer is disposed by being laminated on the second layer. Consequently, a touch panel device (100) having excellent response performance is provided.
