Abstract:

Provided is a touch panel wherein the division lines of dummy electrodes are difficult to recognize. This touch panel is equipped with: an insulating substrate; multiple touch driving electrodes 61Xn+1, 61Xn, 61Xn-1, which are aligned in a first direction on the insulating substrate, and each of which extends in a second direction intersecting the first direction; multiple touch detection electrodes, which are aligned in the second direction on the insulating substrate, and each of which extends in the first direction; and dummy electrodes 63, which are arranged between adjacent touch detection electrodes, and are provided with slits that, in their entirety, extend in the first direction. The dummy electrodes 63 are divided by the slits into multiple electrode portions 631 aligned in the second direction, and every two adjacent electrode portions 631 sandwiching a slit therebetween are divided at a different position in the first direction.
