Abstract:
The present invention provides a toxic substance leakage detection system comprising: a guide member, which can be installed to surround a joining portion or a connecting portion of at least one selected from piping, a tank, and a valve, and which forms a space on the upper side of the joining portion or the connection portion, thereby being able to guide the flow of a toxic substance that has leaked through the joining portion or the connecting portion; and a detection member, which is formed on the inner surface of the guide member, and which is discolored, when a toxic substance leaks through the joining portion or the connecting portion, such that the leakage of the toxic substance is detected. The present invention is advantageous in that no matter which part of the joining portion the toxic substances leaks through, the same can be detected rapidly and accurately, thereby eliminating the shadow region; any incident of local leakage of a toxic substance can be prevented in advance using a system that has a simple structure and is low cost; when a leakage of a toxic substance is detected, an alarm member transmits a detection signal to a control unit, and the control unit activates a blocking unit, thereby automatically blocking the leakage of the toxic substance, and, as a result, shadow time, which results from an operator's direct inspection, can be eliminated efficiently.
