Abstract:
The disclosed rail (3) is a track used for an overhead transport vehicle (5) to which power is fed, without contact, from a power line (35). Said rail comprises a non-contact power-feed unit (63), a contact surface (27), and a guide rail (23). Part of the power line (35) is disposed in the non-contact power-feed unit (63). The contact surface (27) supports the overhead transport vehicle (5). The guide rail (23) contains a conductive, non-magnetic material. The guide rail (23) has a groove (23d) formed at a location different from the non-contact power-feed unit. The groove (23d) is deeper than the diameter of the power line (35). The groove (23d) contains sections (35A, 35C) of the power line (35) that are exposed, not being disposed in the non-contact power-feed unit (63). This reduces magnetic field leakage from the parts of the power line (35) disposed in the groove (23d).
