Abstract:
A traction transmission capacity control device is used in a drive force distribution device. The traction transmission capacity control device comprises a second roller rotating means for rotating a second roller around an eccentric shaft line that is offset from the rotary shaft line of the second roller. This controls a mutual pressing force acting between a first roller and the second roller in a radial direction and thereby controls a traction transmission capacity. The traction transmission capacity control device further comprises: a one-direction rotation stop position detection means for rotating the second roller in one direction by using the second roller rotating means and detecting a position at which the rotation of the second roller has stopped; an opposite-direction rotation stop position detection means for rotating the second roller in the opposite direction by using the second roller rotating means and detecting a position at which the rotation of the second roller has stopped; and a second roller rotational operation reference point setting means for setting the central position between the one-direction rotation stop position and the opposite-direction rotation stop position, which are detected by the above means, as a second roller rotational operation reference point. The traction transmission capacity is controlled based on a second roller rotation amount from the second roller rotational operation reference point.
