Disclosed in the present application is a traffic accident analysis method, which is applied to the field of intelligent transportation. At least one camera that is used for collecting video of a traffic road is installed in a traffic road. The method comprises: an analysis apparatus acquires geographic trajectory information of at least one object on the traffic road, wherein the at least one object on the traffic road comprises a vehicle and a pedestrian, and the geographic trajectory information of the at least one object can be obtained from within video collected by the camera; determining an accident object according to the geographic trajectory information of the at least one object; and acquiring environmental information of the accident object, such as: a traffic marker line and information about peripheral objects; the analysis apparatus further obtains an analysis result of a traffic accident according to geographic trajectory information of the accident object and environmental information of the accident object. The described method automatically completes the discovery and analysis of traffic accidents, and increases the traffic accident handling efficiency.
