Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to easily and appropriately estimate the amount of traffic of people in an area. The present invention provides a traffic amount estimation system (10) for estimating the amount of traffic of people in a prescribed time zone in a preset area subjected to estimation, wherein the traffic amount estimation system (10) is provided with: a population information acquisition unit (11) for acquiring population information indicating the population of the area subjected to estimation at a prescribed timing; a movement state information acquisition unit (12) for acquiring movement state information indicating the movement state of each of a plurality of persons in the area subjected to estimation; and an estimation unit (13) for grouping the movement state information according to the movement direction and estimating the traffic amount on the basis of the grouped movement state information and the population information.
