Abstract:
A traffic congestion detection method and apparatus, an electronic device and a storage medium. The traffic congestion detection method is applied to a roadside unit (RSU), and comprises: acquiring vehicle information of vehicles (Vi) driving into a detection region of the RSU; calculating a first congestion index according to the vehicle information, wherein the first congestion index is used to represent traffic congestion conditions in the detection region of the RSU; acquiring a plurality of first congestion indices of RSUs in a target region, wherein the target region comprises detection regions of a plurality of RSUs; and calculating a second congestion index according to the plurality of first congestion indices, wherein the second congestion index is used to represent traffic congestion conditions of the target region.
