Abstract:
According to the present invention, provided is a traffic safety system for a crosswalk, the traffic safety system comprising: a first signal light (100) and a second signal light (200) located on both sides of a crosswalk (400); a living being sensing unit for sensing whether a living being exists within a section of the cross walk (400); and a safety device unit configured for the safety of living beings within the section of the crosswalk (400) on the basis of output signals of the first signal light (100), the second signal light (200), and the living being sensing unit. The traffic safety system for a crosswalk as configured above is based on an output signal of the living being sensing unit, in addition to, output signals of the signal lights, and thus, it is possible to prevent accidents at a crosswalk when pedestrians do unexpected behaviors or adults disregard signal lights.
