Abstract:
Provided is a traffic sign projecting system in which the legibility of road markings is excellent and does not deteriorate over time and in which it is possible to change the marking details. The traffic sign projecting system (1) is equipped with: a sign projection unit (5) which projects a sign pattern by emitting a laser; a background projection unit (7) which projects a background pattern superimposed on the sign pattern by directing the light from a red spotlight (11) and a green spotlight (12) thereupon; and a system control unit (10) which is provided with a data storage unit (16) in which sign data (14) pertaining to sign patterns and background data (15) pertaining to background patterns are stored corresponding to a plurality of traffic signs, and a data transmission unit (19) that transmits the sign data (14) to the sign projection unit (5) and transmits the background data (15) to the background projection unit (7).
