Title:
TRAFFIC SIGNAL - SIGNALING LIGHT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2008/068538
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
This traffic signal- signaling light has a stand 4 into which a signal with reflecting colours (1), one red and one green, is built, hi the lower part of the signal (4) there is a permanent (magnet 5), which firmly holds the signal on the roof of a car. At night the signal (1) can be lit on both sides by lamps (2) which are power supplied from batteries placed under the lid (9) or by means of a connecting cable (6) from the car lighter to th socket (8). Traffic signal- signaling light serves, in the case of a traffic accident, so that the signal (4) of red colour be placed on the roof of a car warning other cars to stop and administer first aid t the injured and call the emergency services or the police. Once this has been done, signal (1) of green colour is used informing other participants in traffic that there is no need to stop since the accident has been put under control.

CLAIM TO PATENT

1. Traffic signal- signaling light, denoted by the fact that at the signal stand (4) there is a signal with reflecting colours (red and green) (I) 5 fastened to the stand (4) into the signal fixture (3) through the holes (7), and at the lower end of the stand (4) there is a permanent stand magnet (5) serving for securing a firm placement of it on the roof of a car, Fig. 1, 2 and 3.

2. Traffic signal- signaling light, denoted by the fact, as per claim 1, that in night conditions the signal (1) can be lit with both side lamps (2) from batteries placed in the stand (4) under the lid (9), by means of a switch (10), Fig. 1, 2 and 6.

3. Traffic signal- signaling light, denoted by the fact, as per claims 1 and 2, when the batteries are used up, the signal (4) can be lit by electrical power by means of a connection cable (6) leading from the car lighter to the socket for lighthing supply (8) on the stand (4), Fig. 3 and 6.

Description:

TRAFFIC SIGNAL - SIGNALING LIGHT

1. SUBJECT TO WHICH THE INVENTION APPLIES

This invention pertains to a traffic signal — signaling light, which is equipped, among other items, with a signal stand and a magnet, signal with reflecting colours (red and green), lamp for lighting the signal at night, classified according to the international patent classification (MKP) as B 60 R 27/00 other vehicle equipment.

2. TECHNICAL PROBLEM

In the case of a traffic accident accident, when a car is left on or beside the road and with passengers therein injured, immobile or mobile and needing help, other passing cars, as a rule, do not stop to ask or check if help is needed or if the police or emergency services should be called, assuming that it had already been done. It is also probable that if help was already called for, there is nothing to indicate it at the scene of an accident.

3. STATE OF THE TECHNIQUE

In a traffic accident in which an injured person is capable of getting out of the carand stopping other cars (participants in traffic), this problem has been resolved. However, other passing cars are not being kept informed if the injured are in need of help or not. A much bigger problem exists when the injured persons are not mobile and nobody stops in time to help save their lives.

4. EXPLANTION OF THE INVENTION ESSENCE AND ITS DESCRIPTION

Figures 1-6 show the traffic signal which consists of the stand of the signal 4 under which a permanent stand magnet is situated 5, Fig. 1. The stand magnet serves to hold the traffic signal on the roof of a car. The signal stand 4 on its upper side has a cut-in groove of the same radius as does the signal 1 on its outside diameter. The signal 1 is built into the stand groove of the signal 4 and secured with a signal fastener 3 through the holes 7 in the stand 4 and the bores 7 pon the signal I 5 Fig. 3. Signal 1 has a reflecting colour, one signal is red, the other is green. If a traffic accident should happen, the accident participant , if able, himself places a red signal on his car. It is an information to other participants in traffic to stop and give first aid to the injured and to call the police and the emergency services. After this has been done the red signal 1 should be replaced by the green one 1 into the signal stand 4, Fig. I 5 informing other cars (participants in traffic) that they need not stop, since the accident had already been put under control.

If no signal has been placed, and a car has fallen off the road (in a ditch), it means that the person involved is too injured to move and is unable to put the signal on his car alone. In this case this is an information to other cars (participants in traffic) to stop and administer first aid to the injured and to call the police and the emergency services.

At night the signal 1 is lit with two lamps 2 placed on both sides of the signal 1, Fig. 3 and 5. Lighting of the Signal 1 is turned on by a switch 10 on the stand 4, Fig. 1 and 2. Lamp bulbs are supplied with electrical power from batteries placed in the stand 4 under the lid 9. In the case of empty batteries, power is supplied by means of a cable 6 from the car lighter socket to the socket 8 on the signal stand 4.
