Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem that there has not been provided a method for automatically returning to normal operation when a train has stayed overnight, and that, because the time taken from the start of overnight stay to the start of operation of the train is unknown, a battery mounted in an on-board device cannot be efficiently charged. Accordingly, provided is a train control device provided with a ground device for managing the operation of a train, and an on-board device mounted on the train. The ground device and the on-board device mutually maintain transmission and reception of messages, including during a period in which the operation state of the train is overnight stay. The ground device transmits an overnight stay start instruction signal and an operation start time signal of the train to the on-board device. The on-board device that has received both signals turns off a power supply after power required by the on-board device during the period of overnight stay at least until the operation start time has been charged.
