Abstract:
In this train position determination device, a camera (20) is installed at a station so as to photograph, from the side, a train stopping at a fixed position of the station. A processing device (200) is provided with an image processing unit (242) and a train position determination unit (243). The image processing unit (242) performs, on an image photographed by the camera (20), image processing that includes distortion correction and that involves conversion into a side-view image showing a side view of the train. The train position determination unit (243) determines the position of the train relative to the fixed position by comparing: the position at which a prescribed part of the train is to be pictured in the side-view image if the train stopping at the fixed position is photographed; and the position, of the prescribed part pictured in the side-view image obtained though the image processing by the image processing unit (242), in said side-view image.
