Abstract:
The present invention is provided with: a ground device for controlling the travel of a train; axle counters arranged at least at both end sides of a specified section of a track on which the train travels, the axle counters each detecting the direction of passing trains and the number of axles; and a train safety device that controls the ground device on the basis of the direction of the train and the number of axles detected by each of the axle counters, the train safety device being configured so as to acquire the number of axles detected by each of the axle counters installed at both end sides of the specified section, and to announce maintenance in the specified section when the acquired numbers of axles do not match under a prescribed condition.
