Abstract:
[Problem] To reduce the amount of computing load and the time for switching paths for solving a failure in the event of a failure in a connection path between transfer devices or of a transfer device. [Solution] In a transfer device 44, an internal path layer L1 senses the destination address of internal path information from an internal RIB/DB 45t, transfers the internal path information to a transfer device of the sensed destination address, and stores internal path information or external path information transferred from another transfer device via internal ports P1, P2 in an FIB/DB 46t. An external path layer L2 stores external path information transferred from an agent 65 in an external RIB/DB 48t, stores the stored external path information in an FIB/DB 46t of the transfer device 44, and transfers the stored external path information to the other transfer device via the internal ports P1, P2 so as to be stored in an FIB/DB 46t.
