[Problem] To provide a transfer device capable of transferring a person to be transferred as required without forcing the person to be transferred to take an unnatural posture. [Solution] A transfer device is provided with: a support structure (6) installed on a floor surface (4); a support arm (8) mounted to the support structure (6) so as to be swingable between a reception angle position at which the upper body of a person to be transferred (P) is received and a lift angle position at which the upper body is lifted; and an upper body support part (10) attached to the leading end of the support arm (8). The upper part (8a) of the support arm (8) is inclined to the reception side with respect to the lower part (8b) thereof. At the time of transfer, the support arm (8) is located at the reception angle position, the upper body of the person to be transferred (P) is received by the upper body support part (10) in this state, thereafter the support arm (8) is swung from the reception angle position to the lift angle position, and thereby the person to be transferred (P) is lifted.
