Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing transfer paper that has excellent adhesion with respect to a fibrous material and excellent color density in a design formed on the fibrous material, has excellent separation properties, and does not have any difference in texture between design regions and non-design regions of the fibrous material. The present invention provides transfer paper that has a substrate having one or more non-water-based-resin laminate layers on one surface of base paper, and one or more coating layers on the laminate layer of the substrate, the transfer paper being such that: in the coating layers, the outermost coating layer that is positioned furthest outward with reference to the substrate contains a white pigment and a binder; the white pigment includes at least amorphous silica; and the binder includes at least five selected from among water-soluble polyester resins, carboxylic-acid-modified polyvinyl alcohol resins, acrylic resins, hydroxypropyl starches, and alginic acid salts.
