Abstract:
The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a transfer printing method satisfactory in being general-purpose and having simplicity, adherence, and color expressiveness. The problem is addressed by a transfer printing method having a step (1) for preparing transfer paper, a step (2) for forming a pattern using pigment ink on the transfer paper and obtaining transfer paper, a step (3) for bringing the transfer paper and a medium to be printed into close contact with each other and applying heat and pressure, a step (4) for heat treatment without applying pressure while the transfer paper and the medium to be printed remain in a state of close contact, and a step (5) for eliminating the transfer paper from the medium to be printed, said step (3), step (4), and step (5) being performed in this order.
