Abstract:
A transferring apparatus (6) is provided with a plurality of side arm transferring apparatuses (60A, 60B), the side arm transferring apparatuses (60A, 60B) being provided with a pair of side arms (100A, 100B) capable of extending towards/retracting from both sides of a transported object (W). The side arm transferring apparatuses (60A, 60B) are arranged along the lateral direction perpendicular to the direction in which the side arms (100A, 100B) extend/retract. The side arms (100A, 100B) are provided with: pinion gears (155A, 156A, 157A, 155B, 156B, 157B), rack gears (125A, 125B), and motors (150A, 150B) for driving the pinion gears (155A, 156A, 157A, 155B, 156B, 157B). The motors (150A, 150B), which are positioned between adjacent side arm transferring apparatuses (60A, 60B), are connected to pinion gears (157A, 155B) located in mutually different positions along the direction of extension/retraction.
