Abstract:
An objective of the present invention is to provided transformants of various species that depend on phosphorous acid for growth, and a method using said transformants to detect the presence or absence of reduced phosphorous compounds. The present invention uses a transformant in which the function of genes that code phosphoric acid transporter proteins and phosphoric acid ester transporter proteins is missing, and into which a gene that codes hypophosphite transporter proteins has been introduced, the signal peptides of the hypophosphite binding proteins being replaced with signal peptides of the host or a species closely related to the host.
