Abstract:
Provided is a transformer wherein a cost of a backlight device is reduced by lighting
a lamp without requiring an extra member for connecting the lamp with an inverter.
The transformer (40) is provided with terminal tables (3, 4) whereupon terminal
pins are arranged; a bobbin (1) whereupon a primary coil (10) and secondary coils
(12, 13) are wound on an outer circumference of a winding core section (2); and
a core (11). The terminal tables (3, 4) are provided with lamp connecting terminals
(17), and electrodes (20a) of the lamp (20) are directly connected to the lamp
connecting terminals (17) to mount the lamp (20) on the terminal tables (3, 4).
The lamp can be lighted without requiring an extra member for connecting the lamp
with the inverter, by incorporating the transformer (40) into the inverter for
the backlight device for a liquid crystal display device.
