Title:
TRANSFUSION SAFETY DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2006/068070
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A transfusion safety device capable of effectively solving problems on transfusion such as free flow even if a transfusion tube is disconnected from a transfusion pump by a rather simple and low cost structure and allowed to add to an existing transfusion pump without the safety device. Specifically, a clamp (10) having a bottomed hollow cylindrical casing (100), a spring (130), and a movable body (120) is set to a socket (20) of U-shape in cross section. When the clamp is set, insert holes (101) and (121) are opened and transfusion is performed through the transfusion tube set to the insert holes. When the clamp (10) is disconnected, the movable body (120) is slid by the extension of the spring (130) to close the insert ports (101) and (121) and the tube is closed to prevent the free flow from occurring.
