Abstract:
Provided is a zirconia sintered body having both high translucency and high strength. This zirconia sintered body is characterized by including crystal grains that include a cubic crystal domain and a tetragonal crystal domain, and by a stabilizer and lanthanum being dissolved therein. This sintered body can be obtained by a manufacturing method characterized in comprising: a mixing step of mixing a zirconia source material, stabilizer source material, and lanthanum source material to obtain a mixed powder; a molding step of molding the obtained mixed powder to obtain a molded body; a sintering step of sintering the obtained molded body at a sintering temperature of 1650°C or higher to obtain a sintered body; and a temperature reducing step of reducing the temperature from the sintering temperature to 1000°C at a temperature reducing speed of over 1°C/min.
