Title:
TRANSMISSION BELT
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2007/102310
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
This invention provides a transmission belt that can suppress a lowering in transmission efficiency
and has improved durability. A rubber layer bonded to a core wire is formed so as
to have such properties that any one of a durometer hardness (Shore A) of not less
than 72 and not more than 85 and a tensile stress at 10% elongation in the longitudinal
direction of the belt at 25ºC of not less than 0.5 MPa and not more than 1.7
MPa is satisfied. Further, the rubber layer satisfies any one of a weight increase
after immersion in a light oil of 25ºC for 48 hr of not more than 90%, and a weight
increase after immersion in toluene of 25ºC for 48 hr of not more than 80%.
Alternatively, the rubber layer is formed so as to have such properties that the
storage modulus as measured by dynamic viscoelasticity measurement in a tension
mode in the longitudinal direction of the belt under conditions of static load
3 kgf/cm2, dynamic strain 0.4%, frequency 10 Hz, and temperature 25ºC
is not less than 10 MPa and not more than 50 MPa and tan δ is not more than 0.15.
