Abstract:
A transmission control device of an automatic speed changer for a vehicle, wherein feed oil pressures to a plurality of frictional engagement elements (20-24) are electronically controlled so as to selectively engage the frictional engagement elements (20-24) with each other to thereby achieve a plurality of gear stages, comprising: a gear shifting means (48) for shifting the automatic speed changer from a neutral position to a running gear stage; a running conditions discriminating means (67-70) for discriminating the running conditions of the vehicle; a solenoid valve (57) for controlling feed oil pressure to the first frictional engagement element for achieving a first gear stage; and a solenoid valve control means (56) for controlling the operation of the solenoid valve (57) in such a manner that time required for feeding a maximum oil pressure to the first frictional engagement element is extended by a predetermined time when the operation of the gear shifting means (48) by the running conditions discriminating means (67-70) is determined to be slow, whereby the vehicle can be reliably started even when the gear shifting means (48) is slowly operated from the neutral position to the running gear stage for starting the vehicle.
