Abstract:
A transmission control device for a toroidal continuously variable transmission, said control device comprising a gain setting device for adjusting a closed-loop control gain for calculating a target value for a roller position in accordance with a change in the rotation speed of a disc, in a first rotation speed range and in a second rotation speed range higher than the first rotation speed range. The gain setting device changes the gain in the first rotation speed range so as to reduce the sensitivity of the closed-loop control in conjunction with an increase in the rotation speed, and changes the gain in the second rotation speed range such that the rate of reduction of the sensitivity of the closed-loop control in conjunction with an increase in the rotation speed is less than in the first rotation speed range.
