Abstract:
Provided is a transmission control device that can reliably control the shifting of gears, and can protect the gears. The transmission control device provided comprises: a transmission mechanism having an input shaft to which power from a power source is transmitted, an output shaft from which power is transmitted to the wheels, a plurality of gear pairs that are provided between the input shaft and the output shaft and that have a different gear ratio, and a switching clutch that switches between a torque transmission state in which torque is transmitted from one of the input shaft or the output shaft by meshing with at least one of the plurality of gear pairs, and a torque non-transmission state in which the transmission of torque to the output shaft is cut off by becoming unmeshed; a rotation speed acquisition unit that acquires the rotation speeds of the input shaft and the output shaft; and a control unit that begins transmission control when shifting gears by the switching clutch at a timing at which the difference in rotation speed of an effective rotation speed determined from the gear ratio of the gear pair that meshes with the input shaft after shifting gears and the rotation speed of the output shaft becomes a first target value for beginning the gear shift.
