Abstract:
Provided is a transmission device comprising a clock signal generation unit which generates a clock signal and a transmission unit which operates on the basis of the clock signal and transmits data embedded with the clock signal or a synchronization signal for maintaining CDR synchronization. During a data transmission period, the clock generation unit generates a first clock signal for transmitting data and the transmission unit transmits data embedded with the first clock signal on the basis of the first clock signal. During an idle period, the clock generation unit generates a second clock signal having a lower frequency than the first clock signal and the transmission unit transmits the synchronization signal on the basis of the second clock signal.
