Abstract:
This technology relates to a transmission device, a transmission method, a reception device, a reception method, and a program which enable already transmitted time stamps to be dynamically changed. With respect to already transmitted time stamps, a transmission device transmits time stamps of the same MPU in which a change has been made such that the time stamps can be received before decoding. When receiving the time stamps of the same MPU in which a change has been made, the reception device can dynamically change the time stamps by updating the time stamps in a time stamp memory, and performing decoding using the updated time stamps. This technology is applicable to a transmission device and a reception device.
