Abstract:
The present invention makes possible transmission of a high-definition video signal or the like requiring a large transmission band. A video signal is split into frames, producing a plurality of split video signals, and each is transmitted to an external instrument via independent transmission channels. The transmission of a high-definition video signal or the like requiring a large transmission band exceeding the transmission band of a single transmission channel can be effectively achieved. To each frame of a split video signal transmitted using a data transmitter is added first information indicating the existence of another split video signal that must be linked, and second information for synchronizing with another split video signal that must be linked. It becomes easy for the external instrument to align the frames of a plurality of split video signals and to acquire the reception video signals.
