Abstract:
The present invention can reduce the process load of an image combining process at a reception side. In the present invention, an encoded stream including encoded image data of a plurality of views that can be combined is transmitted. Information about points to be combined is inserted into the encoded image data of each of the views. For example, the points to be combined include a reference point and a non-reference point for combining. Furthermore, for example, information about the points to be combined includes x and y coordinates, the origin of which is the top left of an image.
