Abstract:
The present technology pertains to a transmission device, a transmission method, a reception device, and a reception method that enable a watermark to be more easily detected. The transmission device comprises: a generation unit that generates watermark information for detecting a watermark; and a transmission unit that transmits a broadcast signal which includes the watermark and the watermark information. The provision of this transmission device enables a reception-side reception device to more easily detect a watermark. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a transmitting system comprising a transmission device and a reception device.
