Abstract:
A transmission device includes control means for selecting one PHY rate from
a plurality of PHY rates and communication means for performing transmission
between physical layers in a protocol stack with the selected PHY rate. When
selecting one PHY rate from the PHY rates, comparison is made between effective
values of transfer rates in the upper-node layer of the protocol stack in the case
when transfer is performed between the physical layers with at least one PHY rate
among the plurality of PHY rates. The effective value of each transfer rate is
a value obtained according to the re-transmission ratio between the physical
layers corresponding to the reception power value at the reception side and an
ideal value of each of the transmission rates.
